Dr. Vikas Singh

Senior Consultant & HOD, Cardiac Science

Dr.Vikas Singh has worked as a Consultant Intervention Cardiologist at Paras Hospital in Patna. He did his MBBS and MD in Medicine from Patna Medical College Hospital and DM in Cardiology from King George’s Medical University in Lucknow. Throughout his career so far, he has received many gold medals and awards for academic excellence.

He received Fellowship of the prestigious American College of Cardiology (FACC) in Feb, 2015 and is the proud recipient of Young Cardiologist Award by the Cardiological Society of India (Bihar) in the same year. He was given the Best Speaker – Bihar Award by the API-Bihar in 2018.

With this, Dr. Vikas also received Fellowship of Asia Pacific Society of Intervention Cardiology (FAPSIC) in 2017 and Society for Cardiac Angiography and Interventions (FSCAI) in 2018- two very renowned societies of the world.

He has extensive experience in managing Acute Coronary Syndrome, Heart failure and Arrhythmia patients and specializes in Coronary Angiography and Angioplasty by Radial route, Peripheral interventions, Device implantation (including pacemakers, AICD and CRT) and valvuloplasties.

Dr. Vikas has a keen interest in Research and publications and that is evident from his more than 45 publications in National and International journals of repute. He is a reviewer of many prestigious journals like BMJ Case Reports, Indian Heart Journal and Catheterization and Cardiovascular Interventions, and is amongst the panel of authors at the European Society of Cardiology, Council for Cardiology Practice. He is a member of the Editorial Board of five International peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Vikas has represented the country and state in National and International gatherings and brought laurels to the state.
